Our Wedding

We are planning on organising a minibus between Letterkenny/Ramelton and Castle Grove to bring guests to the venue on the day of the wedding and to return guests to local accomodation at midnight. We also plan to organise a minibus between City of Derry airport and Castle Grove for guests arriving on the morning of the 13th, and returning to the airport shortly before midday on the 14th. Located in Donegal countryside, Mulroy Woods Hotel is 10-minute drive from Sheephaven Bay and the beaches of Donegal’s Atlantic coastline. There are a limited number of rooms available at Castle Grove on the night of the wedding at a special rate of 195euro per room including breakfast. These have to be reserved through Gary and Dawn. The night before (12th) and night after can be reserved through the hotel.

Where to stay

Wear comfy shoes and make sure you have lots of memory in your camera. Beautiful Glenveagh National Park is about half an hour from our venue. Stunning gardens lakes views - and a tea room!

Ballymastocker Bay is a beautiful bay with a long sandy beach on the western shore of Lough Swilly. It stretches from Portsalon to the Knockalla Hills. From these hills you have the best view over the beach, which was once voted the second most beautiful beach in the world by the readers of The Observer.

Go to Belles kitchen for the Best chowder EVURRRRR!! From the pier you can take ferry to Buncrana... If you time your walk right, you can see Irish Racehorses being exercised on the beach or going for a swim

Over the border in Northern Ireland. If you're staying a while its worth the road trip. Look out for Finn MacCool.

Wish List

Your presence is your present. We appreciate that many of you have had to pay for travel and accommodation in order to join us on our hugely special day. We also have all the household bits that we need, more mugs than Starbucks, and more paintings than the National Gallery. However if you really want to give us a wedding gift, we're at the age when time and experiences together mean more than 'things' so we will be having a week in Donegal after the wedding to enjoy lovely meals, a spa day, a night or two in a lovely hotel. Any donations towards our mini-moon would be really appreciated and then we will save up for a honeymoon next year ( hopefully in somewhere with less daily rainfall than Donegal).
